15 Selfies That Prove Pretty Girls Like Posing Ugly

Girls are complex creatures. We invest time, energy and money in the pursuit of being pretty, only to take pictures of us shoving our chins into our necks. Everyone appreciates a good, bad selfie, like the ladies of the subreddit “PrettyGirlsUglyFaces.” Beauty may be in the eyes of the beholder, and we’ll cross the hell out of them if we want. Here are the best of the worst…

'The Hanging Tree' has begun its journey up the charts

November 30, 2014

Jennifer Lawrence is not only an Oscar winning actress, but also a rising pop star. As of this week, she lands at number 14 in the UK Top 20 Singles!

No, you did not read that wrong and no, she does not have a "tone deaf Amy Winehouse" voice. 'The Hanging Tree' song J-Law so effortlessly sings in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1, has begun its journey up the charts.

The song was written by The Lumineers and composed by James Newton Howard, and features Jennifer's vocals. However, despite her latest musical success, Lawrence hated her Mockingjay Part 1 singing scene.

Jen talks about it on David Letterman saying, “I do not like singing in front of other people. It’s like my biggest fear. I cried on set that day and it was awful.”

She wouldn’t believe it herself and even tried get Lorde to really sing it while she’d lip-sync, but of course they didn’t let it.

On why she hates singing so much, Jen added: “I’m like scarred from my childhood because I have a southern mother who would just tell me that I was amazing at everything…but I can’t [sing]."

When she was 8 year old she sang in front of the school and it did not go well…

She continued: “And my dad laughed for like the entire week. I would hear him around the house going ‘HA HA, have a holly…’ like imitating me. Oh god. I hate it.”

We disagree, Jen. We disagree.
